Janell Sanchez

Origin:  United States

Hi my name is Janell Sanchez. I have practiced and competed in gymnastics since I was 8 years old in my hometown Cleveland, Ohio. I started coaching at age 14. I've always enjoyed working with kids teaching them gymnastics. The reason why I fell in love with gymnastics was because it taught me more than just physical strength. It taught me how to believe in myself, to be mentally strong and knowing if I work very hard at my goals I am capable of achieving anything. I'm so happy to be a member of the LASG family!

The team would go undefeated their last two years, winning back to back Big Ten and NCAA titles by margins that haven?t been seen since the 1980?s. After graduating with a degree in Movement Science / Kinesiology, Alex moved to Europe, and competed in a professional circuit where he would win a Still Rings National title in Germany along with a team championship title!

Since retiring as an athlete, Alex has coached and led successful teams for both boys and girls of all ages and levels in Germany, New Jersey, Indiana, Michigan, and California.
