GYMNASTICS BACKGROUND: From the age of six to the present, Erin has been involved in competitive gymnastics. She competed until age 15 winning California State and Western Regional championships during her career. Since then, she has been coaching young girls of all ages in the sport. Erin began her coaching journey at the age of sixteen at Airborne Gymnastics in Northern California. For the past seven years Erin has worked with a wide variety of gymnasts of all age and experience levels. Most recently, Erin graduated from UCLA with a degree in Anthropology, B.S. In between her studies at UCLA, Erin became an employee at the John Wooden Center (JWC) working for Fitwell Services. While working at Fitwell, Erin was able to become a National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Personal Trainer. This certification enabled Erin to obtain a higher-level understanding of proper body mechanics and strength and conditioning programming specifically tailored to improving gymnastics skills and technique. Erin is a very positive individual who can motivate and inspire anyone whether they are an advanced gymnast or embarking on their very first gymnastics class. In each class, she attempts to instruct all participants about the importance of fundamental movements in order to ensure safety as well as proper skill development. Outside of Erin’s time coaching gymnastics, she trains private clients and teaches group fitness classes that specialize in functional movement.
